This year, I took a leap and joined BNI One Focus, and I can confidently say it has been one of the best decisions for both my professional and personal growth. BNI One Focus is a vibrant, friendly, and professional group that truly understands the power of relationships and referrals to help businesses thrive.
Growing a Referral Network
From day one, it was clear that BNI One Focus isn’t just another networking group. It’s a supportive community where members genuinely care about each other's success. Over the past year, I’ve built a strong referral network that has not only generated new business for me but also helped me support fellow members in growing their businesses.
Networking within BNI One Focus doesn’t feel transactional; it’s about building long lasting relationships, understanding each other's strengths, and finding ways to help one another succeed. This approach has been incredibly valuable and has become a key part of my business growth strategy.
Stepping into the Role of Social Events Coordinator
A few months into my BNI journey, I was excited to take on the role of Social Events Coordinator. It’s been an absolute pleasure organising events that bring members together outside the usual meetings. These events have allowed us to connect on a more personal level, which has undoubtedly strengthened relationships and enhanced business opportunities.
Here’s a glimpse of some of the fun we’ve had this year:
Bowling Night – A great mix of friendly competition, laughs, and camaraderie.
A Meal Out – Enjoying good food, great conversations, and building friendships.
Christmas Party – Celebrating Christmas together in style.
These social events have been a fantastic way to get to know members beyond the business environment. It’s often during these relaxed moments that the best ideas spark, connections deepen, and opportunities arise.
Giving Back to the Community
During the Euros this year, I organised a football sweepstake for our members, and it turned out to be a wonderful success. Not only did we enjoy the excitement of the tournament, but we also raised enough money to fund a trolley full of food for Redditch Food Bank. This is a testament to the generosity and community spirit within BNI One Focus. Giving back feels amazing, and I’m proud to be part of a group that values making a positive impact.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As I reflect on the past year with BNI One Focus, I feel incredibly excited about what’s to come. I’m looking forward to:
